Global Warming

Considering the recently released Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's (IPCC) fourth assessment on global warming, there is no time to delay for action to stop global warming. The full report includes input from more than 2,500 experts worldwide and major findings include: human activities are to blame for global warming, 11 of the last 12 years have shown record temperatures and there has been an increase in tropical storms since 1970.

The Safe Climate Act, being reintroduced in the House of Representatives, and the Global Warming Pollution Reduction Act introduced in the U.S. Senate would reduce global warming pollution 80% below 1990 levels by 2050, the amount that scientists tell us will help avoid the worst effects of global warming in the long term.
